RULES & REGULATIONS

Keep the Club facilities and grounds clean and attractive and for your protection and enjoyment, the following rules will apply. Noncompliance with them will result in revocation of membership.


ENTERING OR LEAVING CLUB PROPERTY:

A member when entering or leaving the Club will sign the register in the mail box and secure the lock on the gate before leaving the area.


CHILDREN, GUESTS AND LIFE VEST:

A member or spouse must accompany children/guests. More than 10 guests require written approval from the Club President. Members are responsible for their children's/guest's conduct and safety. Member supplied life vest should be used while boating.


MEMBERSHIP CARDS, COURTESY CARDS AND KEYS:

Club membership cards, courtesy cards and keys are for the exclusive use by the Club member and the Club member's spouse. Club membership cards, courtesy cards and keys are not to be loaned to any other person or duplicated in any manner or form.


MEMBER CONDUCT:

Be considerate of other members at all times. Share boats, 1 per member/guests when others are present - tables, grills, etc. Ask other visitors to show their current membership card.


PETS:

Pets must be kept on a leash if other members are present.


SWIMMING:

Swimming is NOT PERMITTED at any time.


CAMPING / CAMPERS:

Camping is permitted except in the lodge or shelter. Parking of a camper for over 7 days requires written approval from the President.


CAMP FIRES / FIRE WOOD:

Camp fires are allowed anywhere on the property as long as reasonable care is used. Fire wood may be gathered for use on the Club grounds only.


FOUR-WHEEL DRIVE / OFF-ROAD VEHICLES:

Four-wheel drive and off-road vehicles are only allowed on the main roads.


HOUSEKEEPING:

Keep the Club clean of litter. All trash will be taken home or deposited in the dumpster. Also, if the kitchen is used, clean it before you leave and see that all appliances, lights and fans are turned off.


SPECIAL NOTE TO HUNTERS:

MCC club property takes on the same rules as those governed by DNR properties for hunting and the equipment used. Special note - MCC property is excluding the use of rifle cartridges that have been recently adopted for use on private land only.


FISHING AND SMALL GAME HUNTING:

Fishing and small game hunting by members and a maximum of 2 guests is permitted. All other Club rules and Indiana State Fish and Game laws shall be followed. ALL HUNTERS, (member and guests) must wear the SPECIAL I.D. TAG (which is to be provided by the Club) on the outside of their clothing, where it is clearly visible for anyone to see, the entire-time they are HUNTING on Club property, during ANY / ALL HUNTING SEASONS.


DEER HUNTING:

Deer Hunting is permitted by members and ONE guest only. ALL DEER HUNTERS, (member and guest) must wear the SPECIAL I.D. TAG (which is to be provided by the Club) on the outside of their clothing, where it is clearly visible for anyone to see, the entire-time they are HUNTING on Club property, during ANY / ALL HUNTING SEASONS. Only two (2) deer, (one BUCK and one DOE,-- or two DOE), shall be taken per SEASON YEAR, per member. (SEASON YEAR is defined as beginning with the opening of early BOW thru the end of late BOW.) If the guest takes a deer it will count towards the member's deer quota. It is recommended that mobile communication exist between the hunters. All other Club rules and Indiana State Fish and Game laws shall be followed.


TRAPPING:

Trapping is permitted only with written approval from the President.


FIREARMS:

Shooting of legal firearms or BB guns is permitted only at the gun range unless you are hunting. It is your responsibility to use extreme caution whenever handling a firearm. At the range a rifle or handgun can be used to shoot at targets at ground level. They will not be fired into the air for any reason.


GUN RANGE USE, WINTER RESTRICTIONS (During Deer Hunting Seasons)

Use of the Gun Range is restricted on Week-Ends (Saturdays & Sundays) from Nov. 1st. to Dec. 15th. On these days, the Gun Range may only be used between the hours of: 11:00 A.M. & 2:00 P.M.


FEEDING OR BAITING OF WILDLIFE:

Feeding or baiting of wildlife on club property with the exception of using bait when fishing is prohibited. This includes but is not limited to corn, grain and salt blocks. Further, members are prohibited from erecting, attaching or installing any devise, for the purpose of feeding wildlife on club property.


Violation of any of these rules could result in loss of your membership!!!
